This project alleviated a serious erosion problem on the southwestern end of Lake Augusta. The project includes a sedimentation basin and energy dissipaters to slow down runoff and allow time for sediment to settle out before the water flows into the lake. By doing so, nutrient loading to Lake Augusta is reduced. The project was completed in 1982 at a cost of approximately $133,000, with a phosphorous removal estimate of 42 pounds per year.
