Clearwater River Watershed District
Board of Managers Meeting
February 10, 2010 - 7:00PM
Annandale Middle School, Annandale, MN
Manager Risberg called the regular meeting to order at
7:00pm. Manager’s Bob Schiefelbein, Mark Kampa, Jerry Risberg, and Roland
Froyen were present. Manager Brunsell was absent. Others in attendance were
Wright County Commissioner Rose Thelen, Meeker County Commissioner Wally Strand,
Engineer Norm Wenck, Administrator Merle Anderson, and Assistant Administrator
Dennis Loewen.
Motion #10-02-1: Froyen, seconded by Kampa, made a motion to adopt the
Agenda. All Managers voted aye.
Motion #10-02-2: Schiefelbein, seconded by Kampa, made a motion to
adopt the Consent Agenda. All Managers voted aye.
Motion #10-02-3: Schiefelbein, seconded by Kampa, made a motion to pay
bills. All Managers voted aye.
Engineer Wenck reviewed the five grants that have been
submitted on behalf of the CRWD.
Motion #10-02-4: Froyen, seconded by Kampa, made a motion to revise
the CRWD Watershed Management Plan at a cost not to exceed $33,500. All
Managers voted aye.
Administrator Anderson stated that at this time he has
nothing more to report on the Cory Meierhofer weir.
Motion #10-02-5: Kampa, seconded by Risberg, made a motion to fund the
Willow Creek water quality improvement effort at a cost not to exceed $30,000. Managers
Kampa, Risberg, and Froyen voted aye. Manager Schiefelbein voted nay. The motion
passed.
Engineer Wenck presented and reviewed the CRWD 2010 Water
Quality Monitoring Plan.
Motion #10-02-6: Froyen, seconded by Kampa, made a motion to adopt the
CRWD 2010 Water Quality Monitoring Plan at a cost not to exceed $40,500. All
Managers voted aye.
Engineer Wenck indicated that the CRWD 2010 Brochure would be
delivered within a week.
Assistant Administrator Loewen reviewed the following:
1. River Network grant requirements.
2. Public Facilities low interest loan information.
3. Bernie Miller Maintenance Agreement for Wandering Ponds Wastewater Treatment
System.
4. Wright County 5th Grade Day to be held on May 11 and May 13, 2010.
Motion #10-02-7: Froyen, seconded by Schiefelbein, made a motion to
authorize the 2010 Wandering Ponds Wastewater Treatment System Maintenance
Contract to Bernie Miller at a cost of $1,600. All Managers voted aye.
Motion #10-02-8: Kampa made a motion to adjourn. Manager Risberg
adjourned the meeting.
