 Work Session - Kimball City Hall
February 25, 2009 - 6:30pm

Manager Brunsell called the CRWD Work Session to order at 6:30pm. Manager’s Schiefelbein, Brunsell, Kampa, Risberg, and Froyen were present. Also in attendance were Engineer Rebecca Kluckhohn of Wenck Associates, Inc., Assistant Administrator Loewen, and Administrator Anderson.  

Motion #WS09-02-1: Motion Kampa, seconded by Risberg to adopt the Agenda. All Managers voted aye.  

Motion #WS-09-02-2: Motion Risberg, seconded by Froyen to pay bills.  All Managers voted aye.  

Engineer Kluckhohn reviewed the Total Maximum Daily Load (TMDL) process that results in the development of an implementation plan outlining measures to correct impairments of surface water. The CRWD managers and staff were asked to review and suggest measures that, at a later date, will be assessed to determine the most cost-effective method of correcting impairments. Engineer Kluckhohn and Administrator Anderson will develop suggestions and comments made during the meeting into a draft implementation work plan for all impairments in the CRWD. CRWD managers, staff, and residents will review this draft implementation work plan.  

Engineer Kluckhohn left the meeting at 8:45pm.  

Manager Froyen requested that a water quality workshop notice that he provided be distributed to all managers and staff.  

Manager Kampa indicated a need to install a dosing timer for the drain field on the Clearwater Harbor Area Sanitary Sewer System. A decision on this dosing timer will be made during the regular March CRWD meeting. He also mentioned that the Wright County Northwest Quadrant Natural Resources Committee would meet March 9, 2009.  

Assistant Administrator Loewen reported that the phone modem at the Restawhile Shores Wastewater Treatment System needs to be replaced. He also indicated that water quality monitoring in 2009 should be a joint effort between himself, Kevin Wittrock, and Wes Boll. Dennis also distributed the CRWD wastewater treatment systems description flyer.  

Motion #WS-09-02-3: Motion Froyen, seconded by Kampa to adjourn the meeting. All Managers voted aye.
