MINUTES CLEARWATER
RIVER WATERSHED DISTRICT WORK SESSION STANLEY’S RESTAURANT, KIMBALL May 27, 2004 CRWD
Work Session was called to order at 6:00p.m. by Manager Virl Liebrenz.
Managers’ Virl Liebrenz, Marvin Brunsell, Bob Schiefelbein, and Mark Kampa
were present. Manager Froyen was absent. Also in attendance was Administrator
Merle Anderson. Managers’
reviewed the sewer regulation developed by Attorney Stan Weinberger.
Administrator Anderson will indicate changes and have Attorney Weinberger
prepare a final copy for the Board of Managers at a later date. Managers’
discussed the recent Clearwater Harbor Area Sanitary Sewer Informational
Meeting. Administrator
Anderson asked the Board of Managers to consider the development of a cost share
incentive for those who volunteered to lakescape their property. A decision will
be made at a later date. Administrator
Anderson indicated that the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency would provide
water quality monitoring in addition to what the CRWD has already planned for
the year 2004. Administrator
Anderson presented a letter to the Board of Managers from the Cedar Lake
Property Owners Association. The letter indicates resident’s concerns over the
declining water quality of Cedar Lake. Manager
Kampa said that he has contacted Gabe Davidson, Wright County SWCD, regarding
buffers above Lake Augusta. Administrator Anderson will follow up with Gabe. Manager’s
Schiefelbein and Liebrenz, along with Administrator Anderson and Meeker County
Commissioner, Hugh Wagner, will tour the Watkins Wetland Treatment System Area
to determine if maintenance and/or changes to the treatment system or county
ditch are needed. Motion
