MINUTES CLEARWATER
RIVER WATERSHED DISTRICT WORK SESSION STANLEY’S RESTAURANT, KIMBALL April 28, 2004 CRWD
Work Session was called to order at 6:00p.m. by Manager Roland Froyen.
Managers’ Roland Froyen, Virl Liebrenz, Marvin Brunsell, Bob Schiefelbein, and
Mark Kampa were present. Also in attendance were Administrator Merle Anderson,
Tom Melloy, and Troy Heimerl. Manager
Froyen closed the meeting at 6:05p.m. to discuss pending litigation with legal
counsel, Tom Melloy. Manager
Froyen re-opened the meeting at 6:35p.m. MOTION
#WS04-04-01:
Motion Kampa, seconded by Brunsell to authorize the CRWD to conduct an
informational meeting regarding project and pending litigation details in the
Clearwater Harbor Sanitary Sewer System Project. The informational meeting will
be held May 21, 2004, 7p.m. at the Annandale Middle School. All Managers voted aye. Tom
Melloy left the meeting at 6:40p.m. Troy
Heimerl, representative of the Electric Pump Company, asked permission of the
Board of Managers to provide them with information regarding electric pumps to
be used in sanitary sewer systems. The Board indicated that they would welcome
any information that he could provide and should give the information to
Administrator Anderson at a later date. Troy
Heimerl left the meeting at 6:50p.m. Managers
reviewed and provided input into the proposed CRWD sanitary sewer ordinance and
rules. Administrator Anderson will revise these documents with the assistance of
Attorney Stan Weinberger. Manager
Brunsell and Administrator Anderson will meet with Stearns County Finance
Director, Jim Stugra, to discuss bonding for the Clearwater Harbor Area Sanitary
Sewer System Project. Managers
discussed the final Agenda for the CRWD Citizenship Dinner that will be held
5/14/04. Administrator
Anderson reviewed a buffer promotion proposal from Stearns County SWCD. Manager
Schiefelbein will discuss buffer promotion with the Meeker County SWCD and
report back at the next meeting. Manager
Froyen encouraged all managers to register and attend the MAWD Summer Tour. MOTION
#WS04-04-02:
Motion Brunsell, seconded by Kampa, to sign Burkhardt and Burkhardt audit
agreement. All Managers voted aye. Administrator
Anderson informed the Board that Delores Roeder will be participating in the
MPCA Stream Monitoring Program on Clearwater River. MOTION
#WS04-04-03:
Motion Liebrenz, seconded by Brunsell to adjourn. All
Managers voted aye.
