MINUTES CLEARWATER
RIVER WATERSHED DISTRICT WORK SESSION STANLEY’S RESTAURANT, KIMBALL February 25, 2004 CRWD Work Session was called to order at 6:00p.m. by Manager Roland Froyen. Managers' Roland Froyen, Bob Schiefelbein, and Mark Kampa were present. Marvin Brunsell and Virl Liebrenze were absent. Administrator Merle Anderson was also in attendance. Administrator Anderson distributed information that he had received at a recent drainage conference. The information contains background on drainage law and policy examples. MOTION #WS04-02-01: Motion Schiefelbein, seconded by Kampa to adopt the Agenda, with the addition of the updated financial report and TMDL information. All Managers voted aye.
Administrator Anderson reviewed the draft language for buffer strip project legislation. Manger Froyen will relay this information to Senator Dille. Manager Froyen encouraged all managers' to attend caucuses and offer a resolution to fund buffer strips in Minnesota.
MOTION #WS04-02-02: Motion Schiefelbein, seconded by Kampa to authorize hosting a NEMO (Non-point source Education for Municipal Officials) meeting on April 8, 2004. All Managers voted aye.
Manager Froyen distributed impaired waters stakeholder process information.
Administrator Anderson informed the Managers that the Clearwater Harbor Sanitary Sewer System Appeal trial is set for June 14, 2004.
Administrator Anderson reminded the Managers of the May 8, 2004 Sanitary Sewer Informational Meeting at Corinna Township Hall.
Manager Froyen reviewed the revised financial statement provided by Kelly Bergesch and informed the Managers that the CRWD is billing for services for the developments of Hidden River and Restawhile Shores sanitary sewer systems quarterly with provisions for a $10 late payment fee.
MOTION #WS04-02-03: Motion Kampa, seconded by Schiefelbein to adjourn. All Managers voted aye.
