CRWD Work Session was called to order at 6:00p.m. by Manager Roland Froyen. Managers' Marvin Brunsell, Virl Liebrenz, Roland Froyen, Bob Schiefelbein, and Mark Kampa were present. Others in attendance were Administrator Merle Anderson.
Discussion regarding the CRWD buffer resolution that was passed by MAWD at their annual meeting resulted in managers and staff agreeing to contact Minnesota legislators. The legislators will be encouraged to fund a buffer program in Minnesota that allows one harvesting per year. This item will also be on the Citizenship Meeting Agenda.
Administrator Anderson informed the Board that he had talked with people who had worked closely with the carp trap. They indicated to him their inability to trap carp less than four pounds. This matter will be reviewed with Howard Schmidt at a later date.
Administrator Anderson distributed information that he had received at a recent drainage conference. The information contains background on drainage law and policy examples.
Manager Liebrenz indicated that he will snowmobile on the Clearwater River from Grass Lake to the city of Clearwater to determine if blockages are present. He will report back at a later date.
Administrator Anderson reviewed the March 16, 2004 Agenda and Handout for the Meeker County Ditch Meeting.
Administrator Anderson reported that the Citizenship Meeting has been scheduled for May 14, 2004, 6:30-8:30p.m. at Richel's in Annandale. He will develop an agenda for the Board to review.
